Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Gravy:
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the flour and cook for about 2 minutes until it turns a light golden color.
- Slowly add the chicken broth while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
- Simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gravy thickens.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Serve: Place the chicken breasts on a plate and spoon the creamy gravy over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Enjoy with mashed potatoes or vegetables!
